Shut Up and Write

Friday 8th May, 9,30am - 12.30pm, Seminar Room 10.019, The Schwarzman Centre
Statue saying be quiet

The Shut Up and Write sessions provide a quiet space for master's students, doctoral students and Early Career Researchers to get work done with colleagues in a friendly, supportive environment.

We share goals and help each other with writing questions between timed silent-working sessions: no emails, no distractions, just dedicated and focused time to get your work done!

Please bring your own work for the silent sessions. Tea and coffee will be provided.

Four sessions are running this term led by Dr Ágota Márton. Ágota is a lecturer in English at Brasenose College where she teaches literary theory and Anglophone literature from the nineteenth century to the present. Her research is in twentieth- and twenty-first-century British and Irish fiction. She is passionate about creating supportive and productive writing communities.
